Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Follow the instructions for the Dragon Scales Bracelet using Matubo MiniDuo 2x4mm purple velvet pearl coat 2-hole seed beads and Miyuki 11/0 round seed beads in Duracoat galvanized eggplant for the body of the bracelet, along with Matubo MiniDuo 2x4mm opaque pink luster 2-hole seed beads for the fringe. Follow these instructions up to adding seed beads between the MiniDuos in the last row of the bracelet in step 4.

At the end of your bracelet, with your thread exiting out of the last seed bead in the row, add two seed beads and go through the last MiniDuo in the fringe of the bracelet. Then, add a 4mm bicone in Purple Velvet and go through the next MiniDuo in the fringe. Repeat adding bicones between the MiniDuos until you reach the other end of the bracelet. Add two seed beads after the last MiniDuo on this side and go through the last row of the bracelet so that your thread is exiting out of the other edge of the bracelet. Repeat this step for the other side of the bracelet. Go through the bicones and MiniDuo beads in the fringe on both sides of the bracelet again to reinforce them. Add thread as needed.

Bead Weaving Basics: Starting, Adding, and Ending Thread

With your thread exiting out of the center MiniDuo in the last row of the bracelet, string three seed beads onto your thread, followed by the TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter Czech flower button. Add three more seed beads and go back through the other side of the MiniDuo to create a loop. Pass through the seed beads, the button, and the MiniDuo a few more times to create a secure loop. Make a knot in your thread and weave the tail through a few beads to hide it. Trim if necessary.

Start a new thread on the other side of the bracelet. With your thread exiting out of the center MiniDuo in the last row, string about 30 seed beads onto your thread and go back through the other side of the MiniDuo to create a loop. Check to make sure the loop fits the button and then go through the beads a few more to times to create a secure loop. Secure and trim your thread.
