Unique bead shapes call for unique stringing patterns. Cynthia showcased the beauty of the Czech glass beads in this necklace with layered bead caps and spacers for added texture and shine. She finished the look with stylish black leather. You can see more inspiration for using bead caps in your designs in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 11 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto the end of the wire, followed by the loop of a JBB silver-plated pewt5er ancient design crimp end cap. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a sterling silver 3mm crimp cover.
Repeat this pattern six times, leaving off the last spacer.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
