Cynthia combined silk ribbon, crystals, seed beads, and more in this lovely jewelry set. You'll learn several basic techniques when you make this set, including stringing, making wrapped loops, and how to open jump rings. Becky challenged Cynthia on Facebook Live with these components to make a piece of jewelry and Cynthia created this set. The colors were so inspiring, she couldn't stop You can watch Cynthia make these jewelry designs here.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 12 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto the wire, followed by a sterling silver 6.85mm open jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the center Oasis bead. Add a crimp tube and a 6.85mm jump ring to the wire. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 11 inches long. Slide a crimp tube onto the end, followed by a 6.10mm jump ring attached to half of the JBB antique silver-plated pewter spiral toggle clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a sterling silver 3mm crimp cover.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
