Dragonfly Hollow Necklace Tutorial

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 16 inches long. Slide a TierraCast 2x2mm antique copper crimp onto the end of the wire, followed by the loop of a JBB 2mm antique copper-plated pewter fancy crimp end cap. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a 3mm antique copper crimp cover.

Add the following beads to the wire:

• One Czech glass 4mm dark brown round bead

Use a 5.5mm antique copper-plated 21 gauge open jump ring to add the large brass dragonfly pendant to the strand and then make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the pendant.

Slide a crimp tube onto the end of the wire, followed by the loop of another crimp end cap. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a crimp cover.

Cut a length of 1.5mm natural leather approximately five inches long. Slide one end into a crimp end cap on one end of your necklace. Crimp the end cap down around the leather using chain or flat nose pliers. Repeat on the other side of the necklace.
