Add a stopper bead to a comfortable length of working thread. Then, add a Matubo GemDuo 8x5mm matte jet Czech glass 2-hole bead to your thread, followed by four beads from the Artbeads Mermaid Blue Designer Blend. Repeat 16 to 17 more times or until your bracelet is the desired length, keeping in mind the clasp will add about a half an inch of length. Make sure your GemDuo beads are all facing the same way, with the faceted side up. After adding your final GemDuo bead and four seed beads, bring your thread through the second stringing hole of the last GemDuo. Make sure to keep your tension even on the bracelet for a tighter weave.

Add a seed bead to the thread and then add the top stringing hole of a new GemDuo bead. Add a seed bead and go through the second stringing hole of the existing GemDuo bead in the previous row. Repeat for the length of your bracelet. Your thread should now be coming out of the second stringing hole of the last GemDuo in the first row. Add three seed beads and add the top stringing hole of a new GemDuo bead.

Add a seed bead then go through the second stringing hole of the next GemDuo in the previous row. Add a seed bead and then add the top stringing hole of a new GemDuo bead. Repeat for the length of your bracelet. You want to end the row with adding a new GemDuo after the last GemDuo in the previous row. When you've done that, add four seed beads and go through the second stringing hole of the last GemDuo added.

Repeat steps two and three to make more rows for your bracelet.

For your last row, add four seed beads to the thread and go through the second stringing hole of the next GemDuo bead over in the previous row. Repeat for the length of the bracelet. Reinforce the thread path to make the bracelet stronger if you wish.

Add a thread or position your existing thread out of the first seed bead on the outside edge of the GemDuo in the last row of your bracelet. Add three seed beads, a 8mm round pearl in Mystic Black, and another seed bead to the thread. Go back down through the pearl and add three more seed beads to the thread. Go through the fourth seed bead on the outside of the GemDuo. Loop through the beads in the body of the bracelet to come back up through the seed beads and the pearl added. Repeat on the GemDuo bead in the first row of the bracelet on this end.

Bead Weaving Basics: Starting, Adding, and Ending Thread

Add a thread on the other end of your bracelet, coming out of the outside stringing hole of the last GemDuo. Add 15 seed beads to your thread and go down throw the inside stringing hole of the same GemDuo. Check the loop with the pearl closure on the other end of the bracelet to ensure it fits nicely. Loop through the seed beads in the body of the bracelet to come back up through the seed beads to reinforce the loop. Repeat with the GemDuo bead on the other side of this end.

Secure and trim any loose threads.
