This is an inspiration project using some of the many components available in a DIY jewelry making kit from The Bead Llama. Remember, beads will vary in each kit, so choose the beads you like the best in your kit to make this design your own.
Refer to your Technique Guide [pdf] and our online technique videos for extra help.
Cut a length of jewelry wire long enough for a bracelet (6-8 inches are typical for bracelet sizes) plus 4 inches extra for crimping. We usually cut 10-12 inches for bracelets.
Open a jump ring and add it to the loop of a lobster clasp. Close the jump ring (see our technique guide for further help).
Add a crimp tube to the end of your jewelry wire, followed by the jump ring attached to the clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place (see our technique guide for further help).
Add an alternating pattern of seed beads and focal beads to the jewelry wire, until it is the desired length, keeping in mind the clasp will add to your length.
Add a crimp tube to the end of the wire, followed by a jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Add a few beads to a head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the beads (see our technique guide for further help). Repeat twice for a total of three dangles.
Open a jump ring and add the three dangles. Close the jump ring. Attach this jump ring to the jump ring at the end of your bracelet using another jump ring in between. You can use this chain of 3 jump rings as an extender that allows you to adjust the bracelet size.
Note: Please make sure to double check our list of components with what's actually in stock on the supplies tab.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
