This is an inspiration project using some of the many components available in a DIY jewelry making kit from The Bead Llama. Remember, beads will vary in each kit, so choose the beads you like the best in your kit to make this design your own.
Refer to your Technique Guide [pdf] and our online technique videos for extra help.
Open a jump ring and add it to the loop of a lobster clasp. Close the jump ring (see our technique guide for further help).
Cut a length of jewelry wire long enough for a bracelet (6-8 inches are typical for bracelet sizes) plus 4 inches extra for crimping. We usually cut 10-12 inches for bracelets.
Add a crimp tube to the end of your jewelry wire, followed by a new jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place (see our technique guide for further help).
Add a pattern of beads to the jewelry wire. Our first strand features blue pearl beads, stone beads, and faceted beads. Add enough for the length of a bracelet, keeping in mind the clasp will add some length.
Add another crimp tube to the end of the wire, followed by a jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Repeat steps 2-5 twice to make two more strands for the bracelet. One of our strands features a simple pattern of small fire polished beads. The third strand features an alternating pattern of two white pearl beads and one clear bead.
Open the jump ring attach to the clasp and attach the jump ring on one end of each strand. Close the jump ring.
Attach the jump rings on the other end of the strands to another jump ring. Add another jump ring to this one if you need extra length on your bracelet. You can add as many jump rings as you need to make an extender chain.
Add a bead to a head pin and make a wrapped loop (see our technique guide for further help).
Open the last jump ring on your extender chain and add the dangle you made in step 9.
Repeat steps 9 and 10 twice and then close the jump ring.
Note: Please make sure to double check our list of components with what's actually in stock on the supplies tab.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
