Christmas colors make this flat spiral stitch bracelet pop!
Note: This bracelet features a flat spiral stitch. Watch our tutorial video for help with this stitch. Also keep in mind, the clasp and jump rings will add one inch to the finished length of your bracelet. Add two core beads (6mm Olive Green rounds) to your thread, leaving a 6-inch tail.
Add a bead set (10 seed beads in alternating red and white) to your thread. Pass through the two core beads in the same direction as before, forming a loop.
Pick up another bead set and form the opposite loop by passing through the two core beads again.
Pick up one core bead plus a bead set, then pass through the last added core bead plus the one just added. Be sure this loop sits on the top of the loop below.
Form the opposite loop by picking up a bead set and passing through the two core beads again. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you are one inch short of your desired bracelet length.
To tie off and add thread at any time while you are stitching, pass through a bead set and a few core beads when our thread starts to become too short to work with. Then, knot twice around the thread between two core beads. Pass through a few more core beads and trim the excess thread. Pass through a few core beads, knot twice around the thread between two core beads and run thread through the remaining core beads to the end of your piece. Trim non-working end of the thread and continue weaving.
To add the clasp, add a jump ring to one side of the magnetic clasp. Set aside.
Add a seed bead that is the opposite color of the two seed beads closest to your working thread.
Thread through the jump ring on the clasp and back into the seed bead and two core beads. Pass through a bead set and back into a core bead and the seed bead to return to the clasp.
Repeat step 9 two more times, knotting around the thread loops just underneath the jump ring on the last pass to hold all loops together. Pass through some core beads, knot, and tie off thread.
Repeat steps 7-10 to attach the remaining clasp piece to the other side of the bracelet, making sure that the clasp will close properly when attached.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
