You can use buttons as focal points in stringing projects. We used a Raven's Journey Czech glass peacock button as the centerpiece of this regal bracelet.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 12 inches long. Slide a crimp tube onto the end of the wire, followed by half of the clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Add a 4mm fire-polished bead to the strand, followed by a 6mm fire-polish bead. Repeat.
Add 4mm fire-polished bead, a gold seed bead, a lotus bead, and a gold seed bead to the strand. Repeat. Then, add a 4mm fire-polished bead and three seed beads.
Slide the peacock button onto the wire, using the button shank. Then, make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the button.
Add a crimp tube to the wire, followed by the other half of the clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
