Start with two seed bead styles. We are working with 8/0 round TOHO seed beads (Bead A) and 11/0 round TOHO seed beads (Bead B). You'll also need beading thread and a beading needle.
Cut an arm's length of thread and add to your needle. Add a stopper bead if desired, leaving a 6-inch tail. Add 8 of Bead A to the thread.
Add Bead B, Bead A, and Bead B to the thread. Then, skip over the last bead in the first row of 8 beads added and go through the next two beads in the row, as pictured.
Add Bead B and go through the next two Bead A beads in the first row.
Add another Bead B and go through the next two A beads in the first row.
Add another B bead and go through the remaining A bead in the first row.
Add a B bead and an A bead. Go back through the last B bead added in the previous row.
Add two A beads to the thread and go through the next B bead in the previous row.
Repeat the previous step, adding two A beads and going through the next B bead in the previous row.
Add two more A beads to the thread and then go through the last B bead in the previous row. Because the stitch is just starting, the B beads on this end might not be in the perfect position. Go through the B bead that lays on top of the last A bead in the previous rows.
It will look like there is a sequence of three A beads all together between B beads in the first row of beads. Bring your needle through the last bead in that sequence.
Then, go through the last B bead on the row above that bead and the A bead next to it. Skip over the next B bead and go through the next A bead in the working row.
Add a B bead to the thread, then, go through the next two A beads in the row, skipping over the next B bead in the previous row.
Add another B bead and go through the next two A beads in the row, skipping over the next B bead in the previous row.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
