Start a tubular herringbone stitch rope with Miyuki 11/0 round seed beads in opaque metallic bronze. Each row will be eight beads around. For help with the tubular herringbone stitch, please see our video tutorial and PDF Diagram. After your first row, add 13 more rows for a total of 14 rows of Miyuki round seed beads.

Continue the tubular herringbone stitch following this pattern:

• Five rows of Rizo 2.5x6mm Czech glass beads in dark turquoise travertine
• 14 rows of Miyuki round seed beads

Repeat twice to finish your tubular herringbone rope.

Bead Weaving Basics: Starting, Adding, and Ending Thread

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 18 inches long. Slide a TierraCast 2x2mm brass oxide brass crimp tube onto the wire, followed by a TierraCast medium oval brass oxide pewter open jump ring attached to half of the TierraCast brass oxide pewter Flora toggle clasp set. Slide the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Add a Miyuki seed bead to the wire and then add the following bead pattern to the jewelry wire:

• One TierraCast brass oxide pewter 8mm round Jardin bead
• One Miyuki seed bead
• One 6mm Bicone in Olivine
• One Miyuki seed bead
• One 6mm Bicone in Crystal Luminous Green
• One Miyuki seed bead
• One Olivine Bicone
• One Miyuki seed bead
• One Jardin bead
• Three TierraCast brass oxide pewter 7mm nugget heishi spacer beads

Repeat this pattern two times, leaving off the last two nugget spacer beads.

Add a TierraCast 8mm brass oxide brass Capitol cord end cap to the wire, followed by your tubular herringbone rope. Push the end of the rope inside the end cap. Add another end cap to the end of your herringbone rope and then make a mirror image of the bead pattern on this side of the herringbone rope.

Slide a crimp tube onto the end of the jewelry wire, followed by an oval jump ring attached to the other half of the clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
