Gardanne Beads Leaf Pendant Necklace with Purple Czech Glass and Swarovski Pearls
designed byCynthia Kimura
Approximate Size20 Inches
The pointed oval beads in this necklace were really interesting to me. I think they tie in nicely with all of the other beads on display.
The unique colors of the Gardanne Beads leaf at the center of this necklace inspired the color palette for the rest of the beads used. Becky challenged Cynthia on Facebook Live with these components to make a piece of jewelry and Cynthia created this necklace. She had fun working with colors she doesn't normally use together, especially the coppery accents. Watch Cynthia create this necklace on Facebook here.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 20 inches long. Add the Gardanne Beads Tuscany enameled medium oak leaf pendant to the center of the wire using a TierraCast medium oval copper open jump ring.
Add three Swarovski 4mm round crystal pearls in Iridescent Purple to one side of the pendant. Then, add the following pattern:
One TierraCast antique copper jasmine bead cap
One Swarovski 6mm round crystal pearl in Scarabaeus Green
One TierraCast antique copper 4mm twist heishi spacer
One Swarovski 6mm XILION Bicone in Crystal Lilac Shadow
One 6mm pearl
One bead cap
One Czech glass 2mm ColorTrends Pacifica Elderberry round bead
One 4mm pearl
One Czech glass 21x8mm purple opaline Picasso pointed oval bead
One 4mm pearl
One 2mm round
Repeat this pattern two times, then add a bead cap, a 6mm pearl, and a bead cap.
Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the pendant.
Slide a Beadalon copper #3 crimp tube onto the end of your wire, followed y half of the antique copper-plated futurist toggle clasp. Bring your wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Repeat on the other end of the necklace.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color
scheme—it’s up to you!
