Pink Leather Wrap Bracelet with Czech Glass and Tourmaline
designed byCheri Carlson
Approximate Size6-7 Inches
When making wrap bracelets, don't be afraid to mix up the size of beads you're using. I enjoyed mixing bold Czech glass beads with tiny gemstones in this creation.
Sunset Harvest colors are on display in this lovely wrap bracelet. The Czech glass beads feature the hazy fuchsia pink color of a sinking sunset sky, while the bronze finish adds a warm glow. Small tourmaline beads bring in more pink colors, along with greens and whites. Cheri was so inspired by these colors, she decided to create a longer wrap bracelet. String the 9mm antique pewter round floral button onto the center of a three-foot length of Leather Cord USA 1mm Corida red round leather. Fold the leather in half so the button rests in the center of the fold and tie an overhand knot with the two strands of leather. The button should be at the top of your knot.
Position your leather on a macrame board for easy working. The button end should be pinned in place at the top of the board and you can add the two ends of leather to two slots at the bottom of the board. Work with a comfortable amount of thread on a needle to add beads to your wrap bracelet. We used a double-strand of thread for this bracelet. We used a double-strand of thread for this bracelet. Knot the thread to the leather, right below the knot in the leather. Cover the knot with a few wraps of thread. Then, secure by running your needle under the wraps, so the thread comes out between the two strands of leather.
For the first row, add one Dakota Stones multi-colored tourmaline 3mm faceted rondelle bead. Add two tourmaline beads for the second row and then one Czech glass 9x6mm fuchsia pink and crystal transparent opaline mix with bronze finish rondelle bead for the third row.
For the subsequent rows of your bracelet, create three rows of two tourmaline beads and three rows of one Czech glass bead. Repeat this pattern as many times as needed to make your bracelet as long as you like, keeping in mind the closure adds about 1 3/4 inches of length.
Once you have as many rows as desired, finish with a row of two tourmaline beads and a row of one tourmaline bead. Wrap your thread several times around the two cords of leather at the end of your bracelet and knot it. Create an overhand knot in the leather to finish your bracelet. Create another knot in the leather about an inch away from your first knot to create a loop for your button. If you finish your bracelet and find you would like to add more length, you can add more loops with knots to the tail. Trim the tail to your liking.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color
scheme—it’s up to you!
