TierraCast Tube Bead Necklace with Crystal Dangle

This necklace uses a TierraCast hammered bail spacer in different ways to achieve a cohesive style. Leather makes a wonderful complement to all of the hammered textures.

TierraCast's Soulful Spirit collection combines geometric shapes with global influences and bohemian style. This necklace shows off all three of those elements wonderfully. Tube beads feature lotus and hammered motifs for an artisan, tribal look. The leather completing the necklace adds that boho touch. Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut a 52-inch length of 1.5mm natural light brown round leather in half. Set aside for now.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches long and add a gold-plated 2x2mm crimp tube. Thread the end of the wire through the loop of a TierraCast gold-plated pewter hammered bail spacer and go back through the crimp tube. Crimp in place.

Add one TierraCast 5mm silver-plated pewter plain heishi spacer to the wire, followed by a TierraCast gold-plated pewter 10mm hammered tube bead. Repeat four times.

Add one spacer and a TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter 15mm lotus tube bead to the wire. Then, add a TierraCast 6mm rhodium Bead Aligner with the peg facing out. Add a bail spacer to the wire.

Add another Bead Aligner with the peg facing the bail spacer. Then, make a mirror image of the bead pattern.

Add a crimp tube to the wire and bring the wire through the loop of another bail spacer. Go back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Use a TierraCast gold-plated brass medium oval open jump ring to attach the TierraCast gold-plated pewter cushion frame charm with clear crystal to the bail spacer at the center of the necklace.

Pick up one piece of your leather and thread the end through the bail at one end of your necklace. Center the leather on the bail and secure with an overhand knot next to the bail. Tie a second overhand knot at the ends of the cords. You can trim the ends if you feel the leather is too long. Repeat on the other side of the necklace.
