Sagebrush Necklace Tutorial

Attach the TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter 3-inch feather and the TierraCast brass oxide pewter 2-inch feather pendant to the TierraCast rhodium-plated pewter hammered bail spacer using a TierraCast silver-plated brass medium oval open jump ring.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 3 ½-4 inches longer than the desired length. Add the bail with your feather pendants to the center of the wire.

Add the following pattern to one side of the wire:

• One gemstone roundel and one TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter Western bead. We do not carry the exact gemstone bead used in TierraCast's example, but we have added a similar bead (Dakota Stones amazonite 8mm faceted roundel bead) to the supplies list. Repeat this sequence once.
• One gemstone roundel and one TierraCast brass oxide pewter Western bead. Repeat this sequence once.
• One gemstone roundel and one silver Western bead. Repeat this sequence once.
• One gemstone roundel and one brass Western bead. Repeat this sequence once.
• Three TierraCast silver-plated pewter 4mm hex heishi spacer beads
• Three Dakota Stones 6mm red tiger eye round beads
• Three hex spacer beads

Repeat this pattern on the other side of the feather pendants. Then, add small ivory beads to each end of the necklace until it is the desired length. The beads used in TierraCast's example are not available, but we have added similar beads (shell heishi beads) to the supplies list.

Once your necklace is the desired length, add a TierraCast 2x2mm brass oxide brass crimp tube to the end, followed by a TierraCast brass oxide 12x7mm lobster clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Add a crimp tube to the other end of the necklace, followed by a TierraCast medium oval brass oxide pewter open jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
