It's fun to come up with geometric patterns using TOHO Aiko seed beads, because the beads are so uniform and precise. They make any pattern you come up with so consistent. Cynthia made her own pattern for this peyote bracelet with our free seed bead graph paper and then finished the look with a beautiful TierraCast button.

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Start an odd-count peyote stitch bracelet by stringing 21 TOHO Aiko 11/0 matte bronze precision cylinder seed beads onto your thread. These beads will become the first two rows of 10 and 11 in your peyote stitch bracelet. Continue the peyote stitch following the color pattern in our PDF Diagram.

Add a new thread or position your thread so that it is coming out of a center bead three rows down from the end of your bracelet. Stitch the TierraCast brass oxide pewter Western button onto your bracelet. Loop through the button shank and seed beads on the bracelet several times for a secure hold. Secure and trim your thread.

Bead Weaving Basics: Starting, Ending, and Adding Thread

Add a new thread to the other end of your bracelet and position it so that it is coming out of the third seed bead in the last row. Add 35 bronze seed beads to the thread and then go through the third seed bead over from the other side of the bracelet. Check the loop with the button to make sure it fits well. Go through this loop of beads several times to reinforce. Secure and trim your thread.
