The tubular herringbone stitch is a great base for making bracelets or necklaces and it works well with both seed beads and crystals.
Regal colors come to life in this tubular herringbone bracelet. Cynthia used beads from an Artbeads Designer Blend featuring Swarovski Crystal to achieve the perfect color palette for her project. You can see more ideas for using Artbeads Designer Blends in your designs in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Start a tubular herringbone stitch rope with four rows of Miyuki 8/0 round seed beads in galvanized gold. Each row will be six beads around.
Continue this pattern until your bracelet is the desired length, keeping in mind that you will add four rows of Miyuki seed beads at the end and that the bracelet should be wide enough to slip over your hand.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
