Carrier beads are the perfect shape for covering with a peyote stitch band, but they are also really pretty on their own. I showcased them in both ways in this bracelet.
Czech glass carrier beads are two-hole beads that are rectangular in shape and can be covered with peyote stitch bands. This allows you to enhance your jewelry designs with custom colors and patterns. Cheri added a TOHO Treasure seed bead peyote band to the carrier bead at the center of her bracelet and left the rest bare to show off their natural color, which is just as beautiful You'll love playing with these unique beads in your jewelry designs.
Make an even-count peyote stitch with six TOHO Treasure 11/0 seed beads following the color pattern of our PDF Diagram. Continue the pattern as shown in the Diagram and then stitch or zip the ends together around a Czech glass 9x17mm carrier 2-hole bead in matte travertine, as you would a peyote stitch ring.
Add the carrier bead decorated with the peyote band to both strands. Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of this focal.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
