Ring

Create an odd-count peyote stitch ring 11 beads wide. Start with plain white rows. Refer to our Magical Journey PDF Diagram for the color pattern. If you need to shorten the length, remove some of the plain white rows. If you need to add length, add more plain rows to the end.

When your ring is the desired size, stitch or sip the ends together. Tie off and secure your thread.

Flat Herringbone Sample

Start with a ladder stitch using ten turquoise seed beads. Steps 1-5 of the Basic Herringbone Stitch PDF Diagram will help you get started with the ladder stitch. Use this diagram to help you with the herringbone stitch for the rest of this project. Cynthia used random colors for the rest of her rows, making sure to use a turquoise bead for the beads at each end of each row.

Continue the stitch until the swatch is the desired size, making sure the last row uses all turquoise beads. Tie off and secure your thread.

Tubular Herringbone Beaded Bead

Start a tubular herringbone stitch rope with 11 rows of seed beads. Each row will be eight beads around.

For the next row, use Czech glass 3mm matte metallic gold copper iris fire-polished beads. Use seed beads for the next row. Repeat this alternating pattern of fire-polished and seed bead rows two times. Continue the stitch with all seed beads, until this end is the same amount of rows as the other side. Tie off and secure your thread.
