Using drop shapes in your jewelry can bring amazing dimension to your projects. Cynthia used dagger beads between more traditional rondelle and bicone shapes to make this necklace stand out. The colors of the daggers complement the colors found in the Artbeads Designer Blend perfectly. You can find more inspiration for using drops in your jewelry designs in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 11 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto one end, followed by a sterling silver 4.30mm open jump ring. Go back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Use a 4mm sterling silver crimp cover to hide the crimp.
Repeat this pattern eight times and add three bicones to the strand. Add a crimp tube to the end of the wire, followed by a jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Hide the crimp with a crimp cover.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
