I love the lampwork sea urchin bead at the center of this design. The colors I used with it remind me of ocean sunsets.
Grace Lampwork makes beautiful handmade beads that can become amazing focal pieces in your jewelry designs. This necklace showcases a fabulously detailed sea urchin lampwork bead. Cynthia paired it with a cute dangling tassel and Swarovski crystals, Czech glass, and TOHO Demi Rounds in warm colors for a summery look inspired by the sea. Cynthia made this necklace during a Facebook Live design challenge. You can watch her make this bracelet and more jewelry here.
Slide a TOHO Demi Round 8/0 bead in metallic gold onto a gold-filled 025 2-inch eye pin, followed by a Swarovski 6mm XILION Bicone in Vintage Rose, a Grace Lampwork ivory sea urchin lentil focal bead, and a Swarovski 4mm XILION Bicone in Vintage Rose. Make a simple loop at the top of the beads. Attach the small beige tassel with gold cap to the bottom of the eye pin using a TierraCast gold-plated brass medium oval open jump ring.
Repeat this pattern seven times.
Repeat this pattern ten times. Then, add a Demi Round, a 6mm Czech round bead, a Demi Round, a 4mm Bicone, and a Demi Round to the strand.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
