Green Square Stitch Bracelet with Luxe Lime Designer Blend and TierraCast Bird Link
designed byCheri Carlson
Approximate Size7 Inches
In the spring, the birds start chirping and all the trees get a little greener. This bracelet reminds me of that magical time.
Our Artbeads Designer Seed Bead Blends feature the perfect combination of colors for all kinds of styles. For this bracelet, Cheri wanted bright spring colors to complement the TierraCast Botanical Birds link at the center. Our Luxe Lime Designer Blend provided the perfect mix of fresh and vibrant green colors. You can see more ideas for using Artbeads Designer Seed Bead Blends in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Thread a comfortable length of thread onto a beading needle and add a stopper bead. Run your thread through one set of jump rings. Add five beads from the Artbeads Luxe Lime Designer Blend to your thread. Then, go through your second set of jump rings.
Create a second row of beads using the square stitch. Each set of jump rings in your first row represents one seed bead in the row. Stitch as if they are a bead to complete the second row.
Continue the square stitch until this side of the bracelet is the desired length. For reference, our bracelet is seven inches long total and this section is three inches long (or 27 rows)
Repeat steps 1-4 on the other side of the link.
Sew each half of the silver-plated 14x10mm 2-ring magnetic tube clasp to each end of the bracelet. Make sure you sew it onto each half in the proper direction so it's able to close (we like to stitch it on as it's closed). Weave your threads back into the bracelet to secure and trim.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color
scheme—it’s up to you!
