This necklace and earrings set use TierraCast's Eastern Path collection in unique ways. The necklace features bead caps and cones from the collection in the body of the necklace, while the Eightfold Path pendant is showcased at the center of the design. The earrings combine the Asian coin pendant with wire hoops from the Worlds Away collection. See more of the Eastern Path collection and discover even more jewelry inspiration in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Open one of your TierraCast brass oxide 42mm large wire hoops. Use chain nose pliers to open the hook wire enough to string on the TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter Asian coin pendant, just to make sure you can fit it on to the wire. The 15 gauge wire hoops are very sturdy. Use a firm grip on your pliers when opening and closing the hook. Once you know the coin pendant fits, remove the pendant.
Slide a TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter flowering cone onto a length of 1mm brown cotton cord, followed by a 8mm briolette bead in Siam and another flowering cone. Make a loop and knot one end at the top of the cone. Add the TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter eightfold path pendant to the other end and knot in place at the top of the cone. TierraCast layered the coin pendant with a larger pendant in their example. This component is not available, but you can try the Nunn Design tag pendant we have listed in our Perfect Product Pairings below.
Repeat this pattern six times, leaving off the last bead cap. Slide your pendant onto the wire and make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the pendant.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
