Artbeads Chief Jewelry Designer Cynthia Kimura is passing on her talent by teaching her daughter Jessica how to bead With this necklace, Cynthia made sure to provide unique Czech glass bead shapes to bring a fun dimension to whatever design Jessica came up with. She also taught her the valuable lesson of how to finish designs when you run out of beads. In this case, chain makes a beautiful finish to the beaded strand. We can't wait to see what Jessica creates next.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 10 inches. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto the end, followed by a 925/10 silver-filled 6mm 18 gauge open jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Add a Czech glass 16mm Mayan sun table-cut coin aqua blue silk Picasso bead to the strand and then make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the coin bead.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
