Dancing Dewdrops Necklace Tutorial

Cut a length of Leather Cord USA 1.5mm metallic tamba round leather approximately 17 1/2 inches long. Attach the 16mm pear shaped pendant in Graphite to the TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter heart bead bail using a sterling silver 6.10mm open jump ring. Slide the bail onto the leather. Attach a JBB antique silver-plated pewter crimp end cap with loop to each end of the leather and crimp them in place. Set aside for now.

Cut a length of Leather Cord USA .5mm natural red brown round leather approximately 21 inches long. Cut the end of the leather at an angle, to make it easier to string beads on. Then, add six 4mm crystal pearls in Crystal Pearlescent White. Use a beading awl to make the stringing holes of the pearls bigger. If you are still having trouble passing the leather through the pearls, you can also try using pliers to pull the leather out of the pearls. Attach the sterling silver sprig drop charm to the leather using a sterling silver 4.60mm open jump ring. Add six more Crystal Pearlescent White pearls to the leather. Attach a JBB 1.4mm antique sterling silver fancy crimp end cap with loop onto each end of the leather and crimp them in place. Set aside for now.

Cut a length of Leather Cord USA 1mm natural red brown round leather approximately 6 1/2 inches long. Attach a JBB antique silver-plated pewter crimp end cap with loop to each end of the leather and crimp them in place. Repeat this step. Set aside.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 14 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto the wire, followed by a 4.60mm jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Add a sterling silver 3mm crimp cover to the tube. Attach the jump ring to one of the 1mm leather strands.

Add the following bead pattern to the jewelry wire:

• One TierraCast antique rhodium 4mm beaded bead cap
• One blue pearl from the 4mm Crystal Pearl Platinum Snow Designer Blend
• One bead cap
• One TierraCast silver antique small Turkish heishi spacer
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• One spacer
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• Two gold pearls from the Blend, an ivory pearl and two more gold pearls
• Three 4mm seamless sterling silver round beads
• Three spacers
• Three sterling silver beads
One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• One spacer
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• One spacer
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• Two gold pearls from the Blend, an ivory pearl and two more gold pearls
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap
• One spacer
• One bead cap, one blue pearl, one bead cap

Make a mirror image of the bead pattern to complete the strand. String on a crimp tube, followed by a 4.60mm jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. Add a crimp cover to the tube. Attach the end of the strand to the other 1mm leather strand.

Open a 6.10mm jump ring and add half of the JBB antique sterling silver leaf hook and eye clasp. Close the jump ring. Attach the 1.5mm leather strand to the jump ring using a 4.60mm jump ring. Attach the .5mm leather strand to the jump ring using a 4.60mm jump ring. Attach one of the 1mm strands to the jump ring using a 4.60mm jump ring. Repeat this step for the other end of the necklace, attaching the other ends of the strands to the jump ring.
