Cynthia incorporated Cymbal bead substitutes and endings that complement the fun chevron pattern of the peyote stitch focal. To add length, she added chain to each end. Start the first two rows of odd-count peyote stitch with seven Miyuki 8/0 round seed beads in fuchsia-lined aqua luster . Start the rows where indicated on the PDF Diagram and follow the color pattern, making sure to add the Cymbal Livari 24K gold-plated bead substitute were indicated at the center of the stitch. Continue the stitch until you are on the last row before the decrease.

To add the decrease, position your thread so that it is coming out of the last bead on your full row. Weave through the beads so that your thread is coming through the other side of this bead, to the inside of the stitch. Add a bead, go through the next bead in the last row, add a bead, go through the next bead in the last row, add a bead, and go through the next bead in the last row. Weave through the beads in your stitch so that your thread is coming through the other side of this bead, to the inside again. Bring your thread up through the last bead on the row you just added.

Cut a length of 3mm gold-plated wheat chain approximately 1 ¼-inch long. You want to cut the chain so that only one link remains on each end, for easily attaching jump rings. Attach this chain to the bead ending on your peyote strip using a gold-filled 14K 3.9mm open jump ring. Repeat this step for the other end of the bracelet.
