Dakota Stones gemstone beads are colorful options for your designs. We created this necklace design to show you how easy it is to play with colors when creating jewelry around a gemstone focal. We chose beads from the Artbeads Designer Series in neutral colors that make the gemstone colors really pop. This necklace is featured in the popular television program Beads, Baubles and Jewels.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 22 inches long. String a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube to the strand. Bring the end of the strand back through the crimp tube so it forms a small loop. Crimp in place. Add seed beads from the Artbeads Under the Boardwalk Designer Blend to approximately 18 inches of the strand. String on a crimp tube, bring the wire back through the tube and a few beads and crimp in place. Trim any excess wire.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
