This is a beautiful spiral stitch rope bracelet that you can decorate with dangles and charms like a Christmas wreath!
You will be making a spiral rope to create this bracelet. Cut a comfortable length of thread and attach to a beading needle. Add four 8/0 semi-glazed clover seed beads to the thread. These are your core beads for the stitch.
Add the following pattern to the thread:
Go back through the four core beads.
Add one seed bead to the thread as part of the core. Then, add the following pattern to the thread:
Then, counting down from the single bead added to the core, bring your needle up through four core seed beads.
Add one seed bead to the thread as part of the core. Then, add the pattern from step 2 to the thread. Counting down from the single bead added to the core, bring your needle up through four core seed beads.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until your bracelet is the desired length, keeping in mind the clasp will add 1 1/2 inches in length. Finish off your threads on both ends of the spiral rope.
Add an eye pin to the last core seed bead on one end of the rope. Slide an end cap on the eye pin, above the last spirals in the rope. Add a 5mm faceted round to the eye pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the bead. Repeat on the other end of the rope.
Attach each half of the clasp to each end of the bracelet using a jump ring for each.
You can leave your bracelet as is, or you can choose to decorate it with festive charms and dangles. We attached sterling silver acorn and pinecone charms here and there using jump rings. We also added red beads to head pins and made wrapped loop dangles out of them. You can also attach these with jump rings.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
