Unspool your card of Griffin silk and stretch the silk to get any bends out. You can add your bracelet to a macrame board for easier working or hold it in your hands while you work. Knot the silk to the leather, right below the knot in the leather. Cover the knot with a few wraps of silk. Then, secure by running your needle under the wraps, so the silk comes out between the two strands of leather.
Add a 5mm faceted round bead for your first wrap. Then, add the 6mm round beads for each wrap after that. Keep adding 6mm beads until you are close to your desired length, keeping in mind the closure will add about 1 inch of length. Add another 5mm faceted round bead to end the wraps.
Wrap your thread several times around the two cords of leather at the end of your bracelet and knot it. Create an overhand knot in the leather to finish your bracelet. Create another knot in the leather about an inch away from your first knot to create a loop for your button. If you finish your bracelet and find you would like to add more length, you can add more loops with knots to the tail. Trim the tail to your liking.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
