Add the red seed bead in row 10 and two white seed beads. Pass back through the red seed bead just added, loop through both seed beads of row 9, and go back through the red seed bead in row 10. Pass through the right seed bead in row 11. Add the three beads in row 12 like you would for a normal increasing row. Add the two white beads in row 13 like you would for a normal decreasing row.
Loop through a jump ring, back into the pom pom of the hat, and then through the jump ring again. Circle through the pom pom beads and repeat your thread paths around the jump ring to reinforce. Tie off.
Finish row 14 using the remaining thread tail.
To create the fringe beard, start from the right side of the piece. Use the diagram for reference.
Bring your thread down through an edge bead. String a column of beads as shown in the diagram, skip the last bead that you strung, and pass back through the bead column.
Go up through the bead you originally exited, weave into the piece, and exit down through the next edge bead.
Repeat the previous 3 steps until you have one column left.

Open the loop of an earwire and attach to the jump ring at the top of your santa. Close the loop.
Repeat all steps to make the other earring.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
