A TierraCast Wild Wild West focal and Dakota Stones hubei turquoise beads are the perfect match in this design!
Knot your thread to the bottom of the TierraCast drop. Thread two rondelle turquoise beads onto the needle and slide them down next to the drop. Bring your thread through the center of the drop and then up through the second bead on your thread.
Add a rondelle bead to the thread and slide it down to the adjacent bead on the drop. Bring your thread through the drop and then up through the bottom of the bead just added. Continue adding beads in this manner for a total of 6 rondelle beads attached to the drop.
With your thread exiting out of the top of the last bead in the first row, add two rondelle beads with an increasing brick stitch technique to connect them to the previous row of beads. End the row on an increase, for a total of 7 beads in this row.

For the next row, add two rondelle beads with an increasing brick stitch. End the row on an increase, for a total of 8 beads in this row.
For the next row, add two faceted round turquoise beads with an increasing brick stitch. Continue the row and end on an increase. For this row, you will need to add an extra bead to one of the thread bridges between beads in the previous row, because the rondelle beads are wider than these smaller faceted rounds. When you reach a thread bridge that has room for an extra bead, add one. This row will have a total of 10 beads.
For the next row, add two faceted rounds with an increasing brick stitch. Continue the row, adding an extra bead to one of the thread bridges. End the row on an increase, for a total of 12 beads.
With your thread coming out of the last bead in the last row, add a faceted round, a crystal bicone, and a faceted round. Bring the thread down through the next bead over in the last brick stitch row to form a picot edge. Bring your thread up through the next bead over.
Add a rondelle, a crystal bicone, and a rondelle to the thread. Bring your thread down through the next bead over in the last brick stitch row. Bring your thread up through the next bead over.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 to make a picot edge along the bottom edge of the brick stitch. Weave your thread back through the picot edges to reinforce. Secure and trim your thread.
Knot your thread to the top of the drop. Thread two faceted round turquoise beads onto the needle and slide them down next to the drop. Bring your thread through the center of the drop and then up through the second bead on your thread.
Add a faceted round bead to the thread and slide it down to the adjacent bead on the drop. Bring your thread through the drop and then up through the bottom of the bead just added. Repeat for a total of four beads for your first row of brick stitch.
Start your second row of brick stitch on a decrease and end on a decrease, for a total of 3 faceted rounds in this row.
Start your third row of brick stitch on a decrease. This row will only have two faceted rounds. Secure and trim your thread.
Add a pinch bail to the top of your focal. The prongs of the bail will meet between the first and second row of brick stitch at the top of your focal.
Cut a length of leather approximately 17 inches long. Slide the leather into the bail and center your focal on the leather. Glue each end of the clasp to each end of the leather using super glue and allow to dry.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
