Tracy from TierraCast created these earrings during a live video with items our designer Becky sent her. You can watch her create these earrings and a bracelet here.
Cut a length of ribbon burgundy/chocolate silk ribbon 6-7 inches long. Fold in half and coil a 6-inch length of 22 gauge Artbeads Designer Wire around the fold of the ribbon. Repeat for the midnight blue and light blue with copper metallic edges ribbon and the pineapple/pink blend ribbon.
Add a TierraCast faceted bead spacer to each end of ribbon. You may need to use tweezers to get the ribbon through the hole of the beads.
Add the folds of the ribbon tassels into the TierraCast crescent crimp. Squeeze the crimp end down around the tassels using chain nose pliers. You can also add glue to the inside of the crimp end for extra security.
Open the loop of an earwire and attach to the top of the crimp end. Close the loop.
Repeat these steps to make the other earring.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
