Cut a length of chain approximately 6 inches long. Attach one end to the magnetic clasp on one end of your necklace using a jump ring. Attach the other end to the other magnetic clasp using a jump ring.
Use size 10 crochet thread in pink and a size E 4-3.5mm crochet hook to complete this design. Use a big eye needle to thread all of the required beads onto the crochet thread, working on the ball of thread. It doesn't hurt to string more than necessary, because when you cut your thread, you can always remove the beads you don't need. You can also add beads at that point if you need to. We used 27 gemstone beads, 24 Iris AB beads, 13 Pacific Opal beads, 44 seed beads, and 20 daisy spacers in a random order.

Ideally when crocheting with beads, you would work from a full spool of thread. But if you need to calculate the approximate number of beads needed and the amount of thread needed for a bead crochet design, you can create a short "sample" section of the bead crochet design you desire. Lay out several beads in the manner you would string them. You will want a good representation of the different bead sizes if they vary. Your sample could be as little as five or six beads or as many as 15-20 beads.
Ideally when crocheting with beads, you would work from a full spool of thread. Create empty crochet chain stitches for about 6 inches of length. Then, start adding in your beads. We made at least 1 empty stitch between beads, but some beads have several empty stitches between them. Feel free to play with how you create your necklace strand.
Crochet with the desired beads and design until your necklace is the desired length. Create about 6 inches of empty chain stitches to match the beginning of your necklace.
Knot the ends of the necklace and trim the cord ends to secure.
Knot the sterling silver sun link to one end of the necklace about 1 inch away from where your beads start. Do the same on the other side of the necklace.
Slip both ends of the necklace through the loop of the star charm and then knot the ends around the star charm to secure.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 12 inches long. Slide a crimp tube and a cable thimble onto the wire. Then, add a large jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Add the following pattern to the wire:
Add a crimp tube to the end of the wire, followed by a cable thimble. Then add a small jump ring attached to the clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Add a daisy spacer, a gemstone bead, and a daisy spacer to a head pin. Make a simple loop at the top of the beads. Attach to the bottom of the crescent moon link.
Add an Iris AB bicone to an eye pin and make a simple loop at the top of the bead. Attach to the top of the crescent moon link.
Slide your dangle onto a hoop earring.
Repeat these steps to make the other earring.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
