You can use any seed bead colors to make this look a festive style statement for any occasion!
Create a tubular peyote stitch rope. Start by adding 6 beads to your thread to create the first two rows. Each row will consist of three beads. Make sure to leave a tail long enough to secure to your earring and weave back into the beads when you've finished your rope.
Here is the color pattern we used for our rope:
Repeat rows 4-9 to continue your tubular peyote stitch until your rope is about 4 inches long. You can check how your rope looks on your hoop earrings as your work and adjust the length depending on your tastes. Try making a rope that covers the whole hoop or create just a small beaded section.
Slide your rope onto the hoop and center on the hoop.
Use your working thread and loop around the hoop several times to secure in place. Weave the thread back into the beads of the rope. Secure and trim your thread.
Use your tail thread to repeat step 4 on the other end of the rope.
Repeat these steps to make the other earring.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
