Cut a length of antique copper-plated leaf chain approximately five inches long.
Cut a two-inch piece of 18 gauge Antique Copper Artbeads Designer Wire. Attach one end to the end of your leaf chain by making a wrapped loop. Slide a TierraCast antique copper 3mm faceted spacer onto the wire, followed by a copper-plated pewter daisy spacer, a 8mm faceted round in Blue Zircon, a daisy spacer, and a faceted spacer. Attach a 7 1/2-inch length of oval link chain to the end of the wire by creating a wrapped loop. Repeat this step on the other end of the leaf chain, only this time attach a 4 1/2-inch length of oval link chain. With one side longer than the other, you can use the extra links as an extender if you want to adjust the length. Make sure to reserve three links of chain for creating dangles on your focal (see Step five).
Add a faceted spacer and a daisy spacer to a 2-inch 20 gauge antique copper-plated 2mm ball end head pin, followed by a 6mm faceted round in Blue Zircon, a daisy spacer, and a faceted spacer. Attach this dangle to the end of the longer length of oval link chain by creating a wrapped loop.
Attach a 12x6.5mm antique copper-plated trigger clasp to the end of the shorter length of chain using a 6mm antique copper-plated open jump ring. For help opening and closing jump rings, please see our video tutorial.
Add any remaining faceted spacers and daisy spacers onto four 2-inch antique copper 22 gauge head pins, along with 4mm and 6mm faceted rounds in Blue Zircon and Crystal Golden Shadow. Attach one of the dangles to a link from your oval chain by creating a wrapped loop. Attach the other three dangles to two links from your oval chain by creating wrapped loops. Add the dangles to a 6mm jump ring, followed by the Gardanne Beads teal enameled brass maple leaf pendant. Close the jump ring.
Attach the leaf focal to two 4mm antique copper 20 gauge open jump rings using a 5mm copper 20 gauge open jump ring. Use the two 4mm jump rings to attach the leaf focal to the center of your leaf chain.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
