Get familiar with using two-hole beads in your seed bead designs with this elegant bracelet. You can watch Becky create this design in this Facebook Live video.
Cut a length of thread approximately 3 feet and add a needle to one end.
Bring your needle through the 1st stringing hole of a SuperDuo. Then, add a seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a seed bead. Bring your needle through the 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo to make a picot edge.
Add the 1st hole of a GemDuo, making sure the GemDuo is facing up. Then, add a SuperDuo, seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a SuperDuo. Bring the thread through the 2nd hole of the SuperDuo.
Add the Cymbal finding to your thread and then go through the 1st stringing hole of the first SuperDuo you added to your thread. Go back through the seed bead, Mini Dagger, seed bead, 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo, and the 1st stringing hole of the GemDuo.
Bring your thread through the 2nd stringing hole of the GemDuo. Add a SuperDuo, a seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a seed bead. Go through the 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo.
Add a GemDuo to the thread. Then, add a SuperDuo. Add a seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a seed bead. Go through the 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo and then go through the top stringing hole of the previous GemDuo bead. Go back through the 1st stringing hole of the next SuperDuo, the picot edge, and the 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo. Then, go through the 1st stringing hole of the second GemDuo bead.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 seven times.
Bring your thread through the next stringing hole of the last GemDuo added. Add a SuperDuo, a seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a seed bead. Go through the 2nd stringing hole of the SuperDuo. Add a Cymbal finding to the thread. Then, add a SuperDuo, a seed bead, a Mini Dagger, and a seed bead. Go through the 2nd hole of the SuperDuo and the 2nd stringing hole of the GemDuo.
Go through the stringing holes of the next SuperDuo and seed bead. Add 3 gold seed beads to the thread. Then, go through the first seed bead in the next picot edge over to create another layer of picot edge.
Go through the corresponding SuperDuo hole and then go through the 2nd SuperDuo hole. Then, go up through the other seed bead in the first picot edge layer. Add 3 gold seed beads and go through the first seed bead in the next picot edge over. Repeat to the end of this edge of the bracelet.
Weave your thread through the beads until you are coming out of the inside seed bead on the first picot edge on the other side of the bracelet. Then, add a second layer of picot edge on this side of the bracelet in the same manner as you did on the other side. Weave your thread back into the beads to secure, knot your thread between beads in a couple of spots and then trim your thread.
Cut a length of chain for each end of the bracelet, keeping in mind how much length you'll need for a bracelet. Remember, you can always leave the chain lengths longer than you need and test the fit on your wrist and trim as you test the fit. Attach each length of chain to each end of the bracelet using a jump ring for each.
Attach a clasp to one end of the bracelet using a jump ring. Add two seed beads to a head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the beads. Attach this dangle to the other end of the bracelet using 4 jump rings linked together.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
