A pendant and clasp all in one? Genius! It was easy to come up with a design for the focal in this necklace.
There are all kinds of clasps you can use in your jewelry designs, but some of the most creative also double as a pendant. The winged cameo at the center of this necklace draws the eye and also keeps things together thanks to the small box clasp mechanism to one side. Discover other creative clasp inspirations in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately seven inches long. Slide a TierraCast antique copper 2x2mm crimp onto the wire, followed by a 6mm antique copper-plated open jump ring attached to half of the antique copper angel wings clasp with orange and white cameo. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
