The Tahitian Look pearls are inspired by the organic beauty of natural Tahitian pearls. I kept the organic theme going by adding them into a crocheted necklace design.
Tahitian Look crystal pearls feature an exotic shimmer that stands out in jewelry designs. Cheri paired them with Czech glass and other crystal beads in long crochet necklace strand. Loop this necklace twice around your neck for a multi-strand effect.
Use the Beadalon battery operated bead reamer to ream out the holes of the 10mm, 8mm, and 6mm round crystal pearls in Iridescent Tahitian Look so that they will fit on the TOHO Amiet beading thread in variegated brown.
Use a big eye needle to thread all of the required beads onto the Amiet thread, working from the spool of thread. Cheri used Tahitian Look pearls, 8mm faceted rounds in Crystal Copper and Crystal Golden Shadow, 6mm fire-polished beads in opaque red bronze luster, Czech glass 5x3mm rondelle beads in transparent light aqua blue with antiqued gold finish and opaque sage green mix with bronze finish, and Czech glass 9x6mm rondelle beads in aqua and ivory mix with bronze finish. Add the beads to the thread in a random order, making sure to space out the bigger pearls nicely. It doesn't hurt to string more beads than necessary, because when you cut your thread, you can always remove the beads you don't need. You can also add beads at that point if you need to. Keep in mind that one foot of strung beads is equivalent to about 1 1/2 feet of the crocheted design.
We used a size E 4-3.5mm crochet hook to crochet with the beads. Keep crocheting until your necklace is the desired length. Our necklace is about 48 inches long, so you can loop it around your neck twice.
To add a clasp, tie a knot at one end of your necklace and then attach a 4mm antique copper-plated clam shell bead tip with 2 rings. Repeat on the other end of the necklace.
Attach a 9x5mm antique copper-plated trigger clasp to one end of your necklace using a 4.5mm antique copper-plated 21 gauge open jump ring. Attach a 6mm antique copper-plated closed jump ring to the other end of the necklace using another 4.5mm open jump ring.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
