Crystal beads create a perfectly sweet backdrop for the TierraCast feather at the center of this necklace. Cynthia completed the design with more coppery accents and even some leather cord to complement the Western feel of the feather.

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Attach the TierraCast antique copper-plated pewter 3-inch feather pendant to the center of a 4-inch length of 4x3mm rose gold-plated brass cable chain using a 6mm antique copper-plated open jump ring.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 12 inches long. Slide a TierraCast antique copper 2x2mm crimp tube onto one end, followed by the loop of a JBB 2mm antique copper-plated brass fancy crimp end cap. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Add a 6mm round pearl in Rose Peach to the jewelry wire, followed by a TierraCast copper antique 5mm leaf bead cap, an 8mm faceted round in Light Amethyst Shimmer, and a bead cap. Repeat this pattern four times. Add the last link of chain from your feather focal to the wire, followed by a pearl. Then, add the last link of chain on the other end. Then, make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of your focal.

Slide a crimp tube onto the end of your wire, followed by the loop of a crimp end cap. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Add a 5 3/4-inch length of 1.5mm natural red brown round leather into the crimp end at one end of your necklace. Flatten the crimp end in place on the leather. Add another crimp end cap to the end of the leather. Repeat this step for the other side of the necklace.
