Created with a combination of actual fishing materials and fish-themed jewelry components, this keychain makes a perfect Father's Day gift for any fisherman. For the fishing components, we simply raided a tackle box, but you could pick up any of these components a store that sells fishing supplies. If the man in your life is less in tune with his inner woodsman, simply use your imagination and other Artbeads.com products, to come up with a variation on the fishing theme.
Cut out a paper background to fit the bottom of the antique copper-plated pewter large rectangle pendant. Apply a coat of Mod Podge® or other sealer to both sides of the paper and allow it to dry completely. Apply a second coat and allow to dry completely. Apply a coat of Mod Podge® to the inside of the frame. Position the paper and gently press and smooth it to remove any air pockets. Apply another coat to the surface of the paper and around the edges. Allow it to dry completely before pouring the resin. These steps will prevent the paper from bleeding when you pour the ICE Resin.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
