Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Start by making three beaded beads with seed beads from the Artbeads Geode Designer Blend. We created these beaded beads with the even-count peyote stitch. Two of the beaded beads are eight beads wide and the center beaded bead is 12 beads wide. Each bead includes seven rows of peyote stitch. To make them tubular, stitch the ends of the peyote stitch together. The ends should interlock, making it easy to weave together.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately six inches long. Add a TierraCast antique copper 2x2mm crimp to the end, followed by a TierraCast medium oval copper open jump ring. Bring the end of the wire back through the crimp, forming a small loop around the jump ring. Crimp in place. Then, add the following beads to the wire:

One 6mm faceted round in Crystal Copper
One TierraCast antique copper 5mm coiled heishi spacer
One short beaded bead
A heishi spacer, a Crystal Copper round and another heishi spacer
One long beaded bead
A heishi spacer, a Crystal Copper Round and another heishi spacer
One short beaded bead
A heishi spacer and a Crystal Copper round

Add a crimp and a jump ring to the end of the strand, bring the wire back through the crimp and crimp in place.

Cut two lengths of 4mm brown and gold two-tone flat braided chain approximately eight inches long each. Make sure when cutting the chain, that you leave a brown link intact on each end. This will give you an opening for attaching jump rings. This can be tricky, but there are other ways to finish the end of this type of chain. You can use ribbon ends alternatively. Attach your beaded strand to one end of chain using the jump ring attached to the beaded strand. Attach the other end of the beaded strand to the other piece of chain in the same manner. Attach the TierraCast 1/2-inch antique copper-plated pewter Anna's Toggle and Clasp to each end of the necklace, using a jump ring for each.
