With a fabulous peacock Czech glass button as inspiration, Cynthia created a bead embroidered masterpiece This necklace boasts all the colors of a proud peacock thanks to bright silk ribbon, an Artbeads Designer Blend in the perfect hues, seed beads, and even lovely bead caps from Gardanne Beads. With step-by-step instructions, you can easily create this piece and add a Peacock Dance to your style.
Use Gem-Tac permanent adhesive to glue the Czech glass 33mm round peacock blue, aqua, and green with gold paint button to a piece of bead backing and allow to dry.
Add two beads from the Blend onto a 3/4-inch 24 gauge sterling silver eye pin and make a simple loop at the top of the beads. Attach a 13x6.5mm briolette pendant in Chrysolite Opal to one end using a sterling silver 3.80mm open jump ring. Add a TOHO, two beads from the blend, and another TOHO to an eye pin and make a simple loop at the end of the beads. Attach this link to the other end of the first link you made. Repeat this step two times for a total of three dangles. Feel free to switch up the pattern or number of beads used to create the look desired.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 23 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto the wire, followed by a 925/10 silver-filled 6mm 18 gauge open jump ring attached to half of the sterling silver 16mm round with flower toggle clasp. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
