Combine your beading supplies in unique ways to come up with eye-catching designs. A TierraCast ring provides the foundation for some surprising bead weaving, while a tassel and Yin Yang charm add movement and harmony. You can find more inspiration for making statement earrings with help from TierraCast items in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
To make the tassels, cut two 6-inch pieces of KO light blue beading thread. Set aside. Using a business card or something similar, wrap the thread from the spool around the card to the thickness that will fit inside a TierraCast 2mm antique pewter-plated brass Taj cord end. Thread one of your 6-inch pieces of thread underneath the wrap at the top of the card. Knot tightly. Repeat at the bottom of the card with the other 6-inch piece of thread. Slide your wrapped thread off of the card and cut it in half. Apply a drop of glue into one cord end. Use tweezers to insert the top of one tassel into the cord end. Repeat with second cord end. Allow to dry and then trim as needed.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
