Owls are so cute and I had a lot of fun adding an owl charm into this necklace. It reminds me of an owl sitting under a willow tree.
Don't be afraid to mix metal finishes in your jewelry designs. Cynthia combined silver leaf and owl charms with gold chain to create cute dangles for her brass crescent focal. Beadlinx chain with a dark brass oxide finish completes this eclectic look. The different colors of the metal are like the changing colors of leaves in a forest. You can see more ideas for mixing metals in your jewelry designs in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of 4x2.5mm diamond cut satin Hamilton gold-plated brass crimped oval cable chain approximately 1 3/4 inches long. Repeat four times. Attach a B&B Benbassat 8.5x6mm sterling silver ivy leaf charm to each end of four of the chains using a 5mm satin Hamilton gold-plated open jump ring for each. Attach the antique silver-plated owl charm to the end of the last chain using a satin Hamilton jump ring.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
