Mermaid Goddess Necklace Tutorial

Group the Leather Cord USA 3mm light brown round leather, 3mm metallic bronze braided bolo leather, 1mm metallic truly teal round leather, .5mm metallic oasis turquoise round leather and the 1mm turquoise round leather all together. This will be the base of your necklace.

String a 12x9mm turquoise with Picasso polished oval bead onto a 2-inch 20 gauge antique brass-plated 2mm ball end head pin, followed by a TierraCast 5mm antique pewter nugget spacer bead and a 4mm bicone in Light Smoked Topaz. Create a wrapped loop at the top of the bicone. Instead of trimming the wire, coil it around the top of the bead to create a cap. Attach this dangle to a piece of antique brass-plated cable chain approximately seven links long using a 6mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. Open another jump ring and add the end of the chain, followed by the brass starfish with patina finish pendant. Add a TierraCast brass oxide pewter classic bail to the jump ring and close it. Slide the bail onto all five strands of leather, so that it rests in the center.

String an 8mm round bead of your choosing onto a head pin, followed by a Light Smoked Topaz bicone. Make a wrapped loop at the top of the bicone. Attach the dangle to a length of cable chain approximately six links long using a jump ring. Attach the end of the chain to a TierraCast pewter joy bail using another jump ring. Slide the joy bail onto all five strands of leather, to one side of the starfish focal point. Repeat this step on the other side of the necklace.

Slide a TierraCast 7mm antique pewter nugget spacer bead onto one end of the 1mm turquoise strand of leather. Repeat on the other side of the necklace.

String an oval bead onto a head pin, followed by a TierraCast 5mm brass oxide finish pewter nugget spacer bead and a bicone. Make a wrapped loop at the top of the bicone. Attach the dangle to a length of cable chain approximately four links long using a jump ring. Attach the end of the chain to a classic bail using another jump ring. Slide the bail onto all five strands of leather on one side of the necklace. Repeat this step on the other side of the necklace.

Slide a TierraCast 7mm brass oxide finish pewter nugget spacer bead onto one end of the 1mm turquoise leather. Slide another 7mm brass oxide nugget onto the .5mm metallic oasis leather. Then, Slide a 7mm antique pewter nugget onto the 1mm metallic truly teal leather. Repeat this step on the other side of the necklace. Add just the spacers and bails so that everything is placed how you want.

Slide a classic bail onto the end of the 3mm light brown round leather. Loop the end of the leather down. Wrap the Leather Cord USA .5mm metallic tota round leather several times around all of the strands of leather, including the looped end of the 3mm leather. Placing a toothpick underneath the loops will help when you need to bring the end of the .5mm leather back up through the loops. When the leather is looped around as many times as you would like, bring the end of the .5mm metallic tota leather back up through the loops, replacing the toothpick if you used one, and pull tight. Add a dab of glue to add security and allow to dry. Trim all ends of the leather and repeat this step on the other side of the necklace.

Attach a foot-long length of 4mm antique brass rolo chain to the bail on one end of the necklace using a jump ring. Attach the other end of the chain to the bail on the other end of the necklace using another jump ring.
