If you can't decide on what colors to use for jewelry, rivoli cup chain makes it easy to incorporate both This cup chain is made for use with crystal rivoli rhinestones, but it looks great with Czech glass beads, too. Experiment with beads you may already have in your stash or try these for a wonderful look filled with pink and blue tones.
Cut the 12mm antique silver rivoli cup chain to the length desired for the top row of your necklace. We used 10 settings. Cut three individual settings to create the three dangles below this row.
Note: When adding a Czech glass bead to a setting, make sure the button fits within the prongs and rests on the edge of the setting. Open the prongs slightly if necessary. They should be barely touching the bead. Remove the bead. Apply a small dab of Loctite super glue to a disposable surface, such as an index card. Use a toothpick to apply a dab to the inside of each prong. Then, place the bead and allow to dry. Push the prongs to the bead so that they are flush. You do not want them to snag.
Note: When placing a rivoli into a setting, use flat nose pliers to push the prongs over the stone. Tighten the prongs close to the stone so that they cannot snag.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
