Chain and CzechMates Cabochon Beads combine in a splendid way in this dramatic necklace design. We made symmetrical scallops of chain between each Cabochon Bead, but feel free to mix it up with random lengths of scallops. You can even cut and hang fringes of chain for another take on this style.
Thread one end of the gunmetal-plated double rollo chain onto jewelry wire that is approximately 12 inches long. Leave about a three-inch tail on the jewelry wire and add a Bead Stopper. Thread the jewelry wire through the bottom hole of a CzechMates 2-hole 7mm oxidized bronze Cabochon Bead. For symmetrical scallops in your chain, count 26 links from the link that is on the wire, then thread the last link through the wire. If you keep the chain from twisting, the loops will hang nicely. Repeat this step three times.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
