We used 0.5mm peach cotton cord, 0.5mm pink cotton cord, and 0.5mm marigold cotton cord for our thread wraps. Place two of the three thread colors together and run them on the back of a length of Leather Cord USA 5mm natural light brown round leather. Using the third thread color, tie the thread bundle to the leather and knot. Leave about a 1/4-inch length of tails.

Begin wrapping the first color around the leather and the threads, including the tail from this cord. For help with this technique, please see our Thread Wrapped Bracelets tutorial video. After a few wraps, pull the bundle of threads so that the tails are not exposed anymore. Continue wrapping until you are ready to change colors.

To switch colors, put the color you were using back into the bundle and pull out a new color. Wrap around the threads and the leather using the new color.

Continue switching colors as you like. When you are wrapping the last few wraps, lay a pin or toothpick on the leather and wrap around it, too. Use a big eye needle and thread the end of the cord over the last wrap and under the last few wraps alongside the pin to tuck it inside the wrap. Remove the pin and then tighten up the wraps. Trim. You can use a dab of glue on the back side to secure the very last couple of wraps.

Attach the B&B Benbassat silver-plated brass filigree heart pendant to a couple of the center thread wraps using two 4.5mm silver-plated 21 gauge open jump rings linked together.

Trim your leather to the desired bracelet size, keeping in mind that your clasp will add about 1 1/4 inches of length. Glue a JBB 5mm silver-plated brass leaves swivel end cap onto each end of the leather and allow to dry.

Attach a 12x6.5mm silver-plated trigger clasp to one end of the bracelet using a 5mm silver-plated 18 gauge open jump ring. Attach two 5mm jump rings linked together to the other end of the bracelet.
