Katie Hacker created this fabulous bracelet using gemstone beads from Dakota Stones, Leather Cord USA leather and a fun button from TierraCast. The design is simple and easy to put together, yet looks breathtaking. The button loop closure is what makes this design stand out. You can use this type of closure for lots of different bracelet and necklace designs. It works best with 1.5mm and 2mm round leather cord.
Fold one end of the Leather Cord USA tamba 1.5mm round leather cord back at 2 1/2 inches and hold the cords together as one to tie an overhand knot. Check the loop to make sure it will fit over your button. Use chain nose pliers to gently pull on the short cord as you hold the loop with your fingers to tighten the knot.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
