The curve of the Arcos par Puca Crescent Beads works well for framing a center bead like I did for these earrings.
Arcos par Puca crescent beads make it possible to create amazing shapes in your style These Czech glass beads feature three stringing holes, so bead weaving with these beauties becomes quite exciting. Cheri incorporated them along with other golden beads in her Incan Treasure earrings.
Follow the thread path laid out in the Incan Treasure Diagram PDF to start your earrings. Bring your needle and thread through the end stringing hole on a Czech glass 5x10mm Arcos par Puca matte light gold 3-hole crescent bead (bead 1 in the diagram). Then go through a TOHO 11/0 bead round in galvanized aluminum (bead 2). Then bring your needle through the stringing hole of another crescent (bead 3).
Add three seed beads to the thread (beads 4-6) and then go through the middle stringing hole of bead 3. Add a fire-polished 4mm bead in bronze to the thread and then go through the middle hole of bead 1. Add three seed beads to the thread (beads 8-10) and go through the first stringing hole of bead 1 again, then through bead 2 and 3. Go up through beads 4-6 and then add two seed beads to the thread (beads 11 and 12). Go through the last stringing hole of bead 3. Add a seed bead (bead 13) and go through the last stringing hole of bead 1. Add two seed beads to the thread (beads 14 and 15) and then go down through beads 8-10.

Add five seed beads to the thread (beads 19-23) and go through the last stringing hole of bead 18. Add two seed beads to the thread (beads 24 and 25) and then go through the first stringing hole of bead 3, through bead 2, through the first stringing hole of bead 1 and back down through seed beads 16 and 17, the first stringing hole of bead 18, and then through seed beads 19 and 20.
Add two seed beads to the thread (beads 26 and 27), followed by a fire-polished bead (bead 28) and another seed bead (bead 29). Go back down through bead 28 and bead 27, then add another seed bead (bead 30).
Following the second image in the diagram, go back through seed beads 22 and 23, the left stringing hole of bead 18, and seed beads 24 and 25. Then, go through the bottom stringing hole of bead 3, seed bead 2, the bottom stringing hole of bead 1, and down through seed beads 16 and 17, the right stringing hole of bead 18, and through beads 19-21.
With the thread coming up between bead 21 and 22, bring the thread through the center hole of bead 18. Add a seed bead (bead 31) and go back down through the center hole of bead 18. Go back through bead 21, then through beads 22, 23, back up through the left stringing hole of bead 18, and then up through seed beads 24, 25, 4-6, 11, and 12.
Add two seed beads (beads 32 and 33). Go up through the first stringing hole of an Arcos bead (bead 34), then add five seed beads (35-39). Go down through the last stringing hole on bead 34. Add two seed beads (beads 40 and 41) and then go through the top stringing hole of bead 1, through seed bead 13, through the top hole of bead 3 and then back through beads 32-37.
With your thread between bead 37 and 38, go down through the center stringing hole of bead 34. Add a seed bead (bead 42) and go back up through the center stringing hole of bead 34. Go through bead 37 and your thread will be exiting at the top of this bead.
Add a seed bead to the thread (bead 43), followed by the loop of a French hook earwire with ball. Go back down through bead 43. Circle around this seed bead and the earwire a few times to strengthen the hold and then go through seed beads 37 through 39. Weave your thread back into the body of the earring, tie off, and trim to secure. Repeat these steps to make the other earring.
